The person behind Private Claude
I built Private Claude on one idea: you should be able to use a frontier AI model without handing your conversations to anyone, including me.
Why this exists
Most AI chat tools keep a copy of everything you type. The prompts, the files, the half-formed thoughts you would never say out loud. That history sits on someone else's servers, where it can be logged, mined, trained on, or pulled into a lawsuit you are not even part of.
Private Claude does not work that way. You bring your own Anthropic API key. Your conversations live in your browser, not in our database, because there is no conversation database. Your messages pass through stateless functions on their way to Anthropic's models and the response streams straight back. Nothing is logged, stored, cached, or trained on. Close the tab and there is nothing left to delete.
Who it's for
The people who feel this most are the ones who handle other people's secrets for a living. Therapists and counselors. Lawyers. Financial advisors. Healthcare practices. Anyone whose work carries a duty of confidentiality and who still wants the leverage a model like Claude gives them.
For those teams the product goes further: a BAA is available, retention is zero by design, and you can read exactly how the data flows in our Data Processing Addendum. No hand-waving. The architecture is the privacy policy.
What I work on
Day to day, that means the unglamorous parts of keeping a tool trustworthy: zero-retention design, bring-your-own-key architecture, and making sure Private Claude holds up for people in regulated fields who cannot afford to guess about where their data went.
